Short answer: a website for a life coach or counsellor in India costs about ₹6,000–₹12,000 a year if you build it yourself on Wix or Hostinger. It costs roughly ₹10,000–₹40,000 one-time with a freelancer or small studio, and ₹70,000 or more with a larger agency. After launch, budget ₹2,000–₹25,000 a year for the domain, hosting and upkeep. Most coaches starting out need a 4–6 page site with WhatsApp and booking, which usually lands between ₹15,000 and ₹40,000.

The four ways to get a website, and what each costs

The DIY prices come from the builders' own pages on 28 Sep 2026:
- Wix: the Core plan, the cheapest one that includes scheduling and payments, is ₹500 a month billed yearly, plus tax. That comes to ₹6,000 a year before GST.
- Hostinger Website Builder: starts at ₹149 a month, but only if you pay for 48 months upfront. It renews at ₹449 a month.
- Squarespace: prices are in US dollars. The Core plan, which includes appointments, is $29 a month billed yearly.
GoDaddy's 2026 guide to website costs in India puts freelancer projects from about ₹5,000–₹10,000 upwards, and agency builds from about ₹70,000.
What changes the price
Two coach websites can differ in price by ten times. These are the things that move it:
- Number of pages. A single page with your offer and a WhatsApp button is the cheapest. A full site with About, Services, Programmes, FAQs and a blog costs more.
- Who writes the words. Writing the text yourself saves money but takes the longest. Most coaches underestimate how hard it is to describe their own work clearly.
- Booking. A WhatsApp or call button is simple. A calendar where clients pick a slot and get reminders adds cost.
- Payments. Taking payment on the site (Razorpay, UPI, cards) for sessions or programmes adds setup and testing.
- Programme or course pages. Sales pages for a paid programme, with sign-up, payment and a thank-you page, are a funnel rather than a simple website. They cost more.
- Languages. An English site with key pages in Hindi or Punjabi takes more work than English alone.
- Tracking. Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel matter once you run ads. Setting them up properly is extra work.
- Support after launch. Some prices include fixes and small changes for months. Others end on launch day.
What you'll pay every year after launch
The build is a one-time cost. These are the running costs:

Check the renewal price, not just the first-year price. First-year deals on domains and builders are often a third of what you pay from year two.
What a coach or counsellor website actually needs
You don't need twenty pages to start. You need a site that answers the five questions every visitor has:
- Who is this for? One clear line saying who you help and what changes for them.
- Can I trust this person? Your photo, your training or certifications, and for counsellors, your registration details where they apply.
- What exactly do I get? Your main offer: sessions, format, duration, online or in person.
- What does it cost? A price or a starting price. Hiding it usually means more "price?" DMs that go nowhere.
- How do I start? A WhatsApp button and a booking link on every page.
That fits in 4–6 pages: Home, About, Services or Programmes, FAQs and Contact or Book. Add a blog later, once you're ready to write regularly. It's the best way to be found on Google over time, but it isn't needed on day one.

Five mistakes that make a website cost more than it should
- Choosing on first-year price. A ₹149-a-month plan that needs four years paid upfront and renews at three times the price isn't the cheapest option over five years.
- Paying for pages nobody reads. A 20-page site with thin pages works worse than 5 good ones.
- No written scope. If the price, the pages and the number of revision rounds aren't written down before you pay, the bill tends to grow.
- Not owning your domain. Make sure the domain is registered in your name, not the designer's.
- No plan for after launch. Sites break, plugins expire and prices change. Know who fixes it and what that costs.

Questions coaches ask us
Is ₹5,000 enough for a coach website?
It's enough for a year on a website builder if you do the work yourself, or for a very basic freelancer template. It's rarely enough for someone else to plan the site, write the text and set up booking.
Should I start with Wix and move later?
It can work if you have the time and enjoy doing it. Moving later is possible, but you usually rebuild the pages rather than move them. If you'll switch within a year, compare the total cost first.
Is a website a one-time cost?
The build is one-time. The domain and hosting renew every year, and a website builder plan is paid every year for as long as you use it.
Do website prices in India include GST?
Often not. Many studios and freelancers quote plus 18% GST, and builder plans add tax at checkout. Always ask whether a quote includes GST.
How long does a coach website take to build?
A one-page site can be live in about a week. A full site with booking and payments usually takes 2–3 weeks, mostly spent waiting on photos and approvals.
